The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI) Is Appointed As KG Mobility (Formerly SsangYong) Exclusive Distributor

The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI) proudly announces its appointment as exclusive distributor of South Korean auto brand KG Mobility in the Philippines. The distributorship was formalized between both organizations in mid-Q3 2023 and, with the establishment of KG Mobility Philippines (KGM PH,) TCCCI’s adds yet another esteemed car brand to its stellar portfolio.

“The establishment of KG Mobility Philippines is yet another testament to the ongoing partnership between both The Philippines and Korea. The Covenant Car Company Inc. is very pleased to offer our discerning Filipino car buyers these innovative, safe, and modern automobiles from KG Mobility. We are optimistic that the local motoring public will respond positively to our portfolio of product offerings, and we are likewise eager to grow KGM PH into a household name for expertly crafted, reliable, Korean-made automobiles,” says Amb. Jose L. Cuisia Jr., Chairman of the board of TCCCI.

Formerly known as SsangYong, KG Mobility, is domestically recognized in Korea as an innovative and respected Korean automotive company, backed by nearly 70 years of expertise in SUV manufacturing and production. KG Mobility’s roots date back to 1954 and, from then onwards, the brand has carved out a reputation for being a premier Korean SUV manufacturer and specialist, and one of the main pillars of the Korean automotive industry.

On a global scale, KG Mobility continues to expand its presence on the world stage, exporting an advanced lineup of SUV products through approximately 1,500 global networks in 126 countries and global markets, with the Philippines as its newest destination.

“Products from Korea, including automobiles, are recognized around the world for their outstanding build quality, aesthetic refinement, and for being curated with expert oversight—merits which we are sure will endear Filipinos towards KG Mobility Philippines’ appealing lineup of vehicles,” says Mr. Ki Young Hwang, Executive Managing Director, KG Mobility Korea. “We look with anticipation towards the growth and development of KG Mobility Philippines. With our partners from TCCCI, the Filipino motoring public can expect a captivating lineup of new-generation KG Mobility SUVs and pick-up trucks, while providing reliable, customer-oriented aftersales and technical support for a worry-free ownership experience.”

KG Mobility Philippines enters the Filipino market with a firm foothold in the local automotive landscape under TCCCI. A comprehensive brand introduction marked by extensive awareness-driving campaigns are set in motion, with the goal of having KGM PH stand shoulder-to-shoulder alongside the top car brands in the Philippines.

Integral to KG Mobility’s growth in the Philippines is the introduction of a value-rich product lineup that is poised to shake up the market. By the end of 2023, five new KG Mobility products, each with unique selling points, will be available in the Philippine market, namely the Tivoli Crossover SUV; the Tivoli Grand SUV; the Torres SUV; the Rexton Mid-Size SUV; and the Musso Grand Pickup. Each model carries the proud heritage of KG Mobility and, with the variety of this initial offering, KG Mobility Philippines aims to satisfy multiple customer segments made up of discerning individuals with varied needs and preferences.

Aside from a stirring product lineup, a key part of KG Mobility Philippines’ opening salvo is the establishment of a national dealer network that is designed to provide sales and aftersales support to clients across the archipelago. Vehicles will be available for retail and service at select KG Mobility Philippines dealers starting Q4 2023, leading up to the official brand launch which will take place in Q1 2024. And by the end of 2024, TCCCI forecasts a total of 12 established dealerships will form KG Mobility Philippines’ nationwide dealership network.

Simultaneous with the development of its dealership network, TCCCI ensures that new KGM PH clients will have easy access to KG Mobility Solutions aftersales support via a string of KGM PH-accredited and authorized service outlets. KG Mobility Solutions is set in place to provide customers with the necessary support they need including swift, 1-hour service for periodic vehicle maintenance, or home vehicle servicing packages that can be availed of for more specialized aftersales cases. Apart from these, other aftersales complements include a 5-year or 100,000km vehicle warranty, and 24/7 emergency roadside assistance via KG Mobility Philippines’ customer support hotline.

And to reinforce its entry into the local auto market, throughout the rest of 2023, KG Mobility Philippines will make itself more visible to Filipinos with the implementation of engaging pop-up concept road shows in leading business and lifestyle hubs in NCR, where bulk of the brand’s target market has been identified. Looking ahead to 2024, more pop-up concepts will be instituted over a wider area of coverage with an aim to broaden KGM PH’s scope.

  1. The way TCCi very Bad managing Chevy and Volvo Cars, I doubt KG mobility Ssangyong vehicles will succeed. No matter how good the vehicle they are selling is, definitely KG Mobility still struggling because this TCCi doesn't know how to compete in the market. They are only for show. No mind.

  4. Not all but Maybe some lawyers not really good on business. Yong hari sinipa sa hyundae then sinipa ulit sa changan. Tcci head a lawyer not also good on competitive pricing. Small margin is good as long as you sell many, if you sold many units then you will also have big income on regular maintenance, repair and parts replacements.

  5. It's True the more units seen on the road the more you attract potential buyers. TCCi and AC motor have the similarities strategy. They don't care about competitions. Look at Honda and Kia Pricing it's over the moon and they are languishing in the sales chart.

  6. TCCCI can easily handle the KGM SUV brand as they've got 28 years of very successful business as a local car brand distributor.
