After surprising the public with the announcement of an early sneak preview, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines opens the reservations for the all-new Triton. Retail sales begins on January 26, 2024.

Cutting to the chase, the all-new Triton comes in seven variants for the local market and the following prices:
  • GL 2WD MT – P 1,134,000
  • GL 4WD MT – P 1,157,000
  • GLX 2WD MT – P 1,311,000
  • GLX 2WD AT – P 1,383,000
  • GLX 4WD AT – P 1,561,000
  • GLS 2WD AT – P 1,582,000
  • Athlete 4WD AT – P 1,915,000
Special pre-launch deals are also available starting today until January 25.

The all-new Triton is powered by a newly-developed 2.4 liter engine MIVEC diesel engine with either 183 horsepower and 430 Nm or 204 horsepower and 470 Nm (depending on variant). This is mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. Cruise control is available on most variants.

It rides on a tougher more durable frame that marries comfort and off-road capability. Rigorously tested to provide increased strength and reduced weight, it also comes with a new shock-absorption system for a more plaint ride even on the harshest terrain. Its capability is is backed up by the Easy Select or Super Select-II 4WD system.

Inside the all-new Triton, it has promises improved comfort and space as well as connectivity. Features include dual zone climate control, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

3 SRS airbags are standard as are ABS with EBD and Active Stability Control with Hill Start Assist. The Athlete builds up on that with 7 SRS airbags and a full suite of advanced driver assist systems including Forward Collision Mitigation, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. It also receives a Multi-Around View Monitor (360-degree camera), Active Yaw Control, and parking sensors all around.

The all-new Triton comes on seven colors, depending on variant:
  • White Diamond
  • Graphite Gra
  • Jet Black
  • Red Solid
  • White Solid
  • Blade Silver (new)
  • Yamabuki Orange (new)
Check out the full specs below:

  1. Only the Athlete gets bi-turbo while the other variants get the single turbo with miniscule power increase over the last model. It also seems that MMPC is positioning the GLX to be the replacement of the previous GLS (hopefully the GLX gets LED headlights, unlike what Isuzu did with the D-Max where only the top spec gets LED) while the GL is positioned be the replacement of the previous generation GLX. The new GLS trim seems to be the replacement of the GT trim from the last generation (it comes with ADAS and all that), albeit in 2WD form only. Shame that there's no 2WD version of the Athlete with the bi-turbo engine.

    1. Dami mo reklamo tapos mag nagmahal ang presyo dahil dyan sa bi turbo mo, reklamo pa rin. You can never please people.

    2. ^Agree, nothing is perfect. In every model update, it isn't imperative to increase the engine power and torque. Maintenance cost for single and bi-turbo are also a bit different and must have been part of the manufacturer's consideration.

  2. I hope this time the 4WD variants come with a rear diff lock. Mitsubishi's off road traction control is pretty good but nothing beats a good ol difflock in challenging situations

  3. Two trims have 360 cam. Do the others at least have reverse cam or none at all?

  4. Sir Uly, as per the spec sheet provided, the cruise control is also available on the M/T variants except the GL.

  5. I like this incoming All new Mitsubishi Squarish Truck. Can't wait to have one. But bye bye 😭 to Strada nameplate.

  6. Excellent packaging especially the engine, dashboard design & the legendary Mitsubishi 4x4 system only to be ruined by that hideous Front exterior design and the Black-orange interior color combination for the Athlete variant.

  7. They really need to improve safety on lower variants. 7 airbags only on the top spec is a bad marketing move.

    1. Hilux only got 2 to 3 airbags on 4X2 variants and its still selling well

  8. This has got to be the ugliest pickup in the market. Heck even the Chinese pickups look great compared to this.

  9. among the other brand, wich one comes with 7 airbag on their low end model?

    1. Navara 6 airbags on 4x2

    2. 7 airbags is only meant for 4X4 Wildtrak and Raptor variants of the Ranger..The rest are 6 airbags
4 airbags is standard on low and mid level variants of the GWM Cannon
Isuzu D Max and Mazea BT50 only got two airbags on low and mid level variants.
