The New Manila International Airport (NMIA) project, set to be the country’s largest international airport with four runways, not being built on reclaimed land as some reports suggest. Instead, it’s built on existing low-lying land that, history, is vulnerable to heavy flooding and were thus converted to commercial fishponds.

Skyway O&M Corporation, the operator of the Skyway has apologized for the heavy flooding experienced by motorists using the “Skyway At Grade.” Caused by continuous moderate to, at times, heavy rains, it caused the areas surrounding Bicutan in Parañaque City to become impassable to motorists.

San Miguel Removes 1.3 Tons Of Waste From Pasig River


Nearly two years since it launched its ambitious, P 2-billion Pasig River cleanup initiative, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) reported that it breached the one million metric ton mark of silt and solid waste removed from the historic but polluted waterway, adding it is optimistic the project can be fully completed by August, or right in the middle of the rainy season.
